1. Pick an Artist/Artwork. ***The artwork must be school appropriate which is why parents must be involved.
2. Find out the artist's birthdate and birthplace.
3. Locate the birthplace on a map or globe.
4. Find a travel route from your home to that place by land or water routes.
5. Find out what life was like in that place at that time.
6. Where did the artist live and/or study in their life?
7. Would life and travel have been different when the artist lived compared to ours now?
8. What sort of art did he/she make?
9. Were they known for a particular style?
10. Learn about that style.
11. Were they successful during their lifetime?
12. How so, or why not?
13. When & where did the artist die? (If living, where are they now?) How old were/are they?
14. What sorts of things do you think most influenced this artist?
15. What do you like best about this artist’s work?
16. Complete an artwork in the style of this artist. Use materials you have available. Upload a picture to Artsonia.com when complete.
